Aftar Dastarkhwan- A soulful Celebration of service by NCSC

 Date: March 11, 2025

Location: Outside NUTECH Main Gate

Organized by: NUTECH Community Service Club (NCSC)

💫Embracing the spirit of Ramadan:

The holy month of Ramadan is more than just fasting-- it's a session of reflection, compassion, and unity. Honoring these values, the NUTECH Community Service Club (NCSC) hosted a heartfelt Aftar Dastarkhwan on March 11, right outside the gates of NUTECH University.

The event was a humble yet powerful initiative to unite students, staff, and the university community in the spirit of giving and togetherness.

💞Student-Led, Heart-Driven:

One of the most inspiring parts of the event was the sheer volunteer spirit shown by NUTECH students. Both male and female volunteers played vital roles--each contribution blending seamlessly into a beautifully executed evening.
  • Female volunteers prepared Jam-e-shirin, a refreshing traditional drink that added sweetness to the gathering.
  • Male students arranged and brought a daig of biriyani, ensuring no one left without a fulfilling meal.
From packaging the meals to carefully setting up the dastarkhwan, every task was carried out with warmth, energy, and a shared sense of purpose.

💫A Setup of Love and Coordination:

The roadside area was transformed into a welcoming space for iftar, with volunteers:

  • Organizing packaging stations
  • Arranging seating and serving spots
  • Maintaining hygiene and order
The coordination displayed by the the volunteers made it evident that this wasn't just an event--it was a shared experience of care and connection.

💫A Gathering of Hearts:

What truly set this dastarkhwan apart was its inclusivity. The event welcomed:
  • Nutech students
  • Teaching and non-teaching staff
  • DSL and custodial staff
  • Walk-in guests and passerby
Breaking the fast together--regardless of background or role--created a moment that embodied equality and human connection.

💫Organized to perfection by the NCSC Core Team:

The event was powered by the core team of NCSC, whose tireless efforts turned this idea into a meaningful reality. From resource management to on-site supervision, the team ensured that:
  • Meals were sufficient and well-prepared
  • Setup was smooth and dignified
  • Every guest felt welcomed and respected
It was shining example of student leadership fueled by compassion.

Reflection That Stayed:

"This wasn't just about arranging iftar; it was about sharing a moment of peace, prayer, and purpose with people we often walk past without noticing."

Such sentiments echoed throughout the evening. The dastarkhwan was not only a meal but a memory--of smiles shared, gratitude exchanged, and hearts connected.

💫A message that lasts:

In a world  that often feels fast-paced and individualistic, the Aftar Dastarkhwan reminded us to slow down, look around, and extend a hand. Events like these don't just feed stomachs--they nourish souls.

Through this initiative, the NUTECH Community Service Club didn't just observe Ramadan-they lived its essence.
